Of Common Damages To The Vermiculite Fireproofing
The building structure will be
covered with vermiculite cement for the majority of the structural steel
members to protect the structure against fire. It's usually seen in commercial
buildings, factories, shops and even in residential buildings with the Vermiculite
Spray NSW.
Most of common damages to the Vermiculite Fireproofing
Damages by M& E services installation: M&E services are
quite common when after fire-proofing is completed, the hanger rods, conduits,
and supports required hanging from the stainless steel structure, the customers
are hacked or removed from the cement, and the clips or bolts are installed.
Over time, the results will cause the steel surface to oxidize and the steel
structure's scaling leads to the degradation of the Vermiculite Spray NSW.
Damage by Water Seepage: Water sources and water flowing to the
surface of the vermiculite can affect the whole of cement. In particular, the
internal grade of vermiculite cement cannot withstand the excessive exposure to
water. It may be subject to weather for external grade vermiculite cement but
it cannot withstand the prolongation of water intake problem where the steel
members may be oxidations after contact with water and results in the scaling
and debonding of the fireproofing coating.
Damage by Impact or force: Damage by force may be
accidentally damaged, the surface of the coating drops something and the result
is that it cracks, splits and falls off the cover. In some cases the fixtures and cladding over
the steel members during the renovation can result in some force impact and
damage results.
Life span for Vermiculite Spray
NSW can be long if there is no damage, water intake, disturbance or force
impact, etc.
